Story
'£10 for TEN' appeal
This year Lark in the Park is going to be ten years old. Plans are already well underway to put the event on and to ensure that we celebrate our milestone birthday. Which is where you come in. The ethos of Lark in the Park has always been that it is a free event for everyone, and over the past ten years we have worked very hard to raise around £7000 each year to make the event a success.
This year we are asking our supporters to give us £10 for TEN to help raise those vital funds, so that in future years we can be less reliant on dwindling grants and ensure that this fantastic community event continues to provide a great free day out for our communities for the next ten years and beyond…….
About Lark in the Park:
Lark in the Park is a free summer event in East End Park, Leeds. This is the 10th year of the event for the Richmond Hill, East End Park and Cross Green community and we need help raising funds for another fantastic, creative and fun event. Lark in the Park is for all the community, all ages and seeks to bring all our community together for a fun day in July.
Food, sports, stalls, arts, crafts, performances, picnics, family activities and inflatables, special guests and lots more all make this a very special day.
Lark in the Park is run by voluntary local people in partnership with local organisations, the event is financially managed through Community Unity (Leeds) CIO, Registered Charity 1157737. All donations will go to the running expenses of the event (no admin or staff costs). The event costs around £7000 to run and we get funds from Leeds Council to cover some of the costs.
This years event will be on Saturday 21st July 2018 11:30-3:30pm
