Story
Lichfield Cricket Club 10k Wolf Run - taking place on Saturday 8 April at Welsh Road Farm in Warwickshire.
Lichfield Cricket Club are raising funds for St Giles Hospice and a new outdoor net facility. We have chosen to raise funds for St Giles Hospice following the passing of our Groundsman, Les West, in December last year. All funds raised will be split equally between St Giles Hospice and Lichfield Cricket Club.
In order to raise funds for the above, 20 members/associates of Lichfield Cricket Club will be partaking in a 10k Wolf Run - a unique combination of three kinds of off-road running: mud runs, trail runs and obstacle runs, taking place across raw natural terrain, including open ground, woodland, lakes & thick mud. The age range of our participants will vary from 19 to 66, so this is something members of all ages are getting behind!
Running in packs, our members will tackle a series of tough obstacles - both man-made and natural - designed to test our mental & physical strength, skill and stamina. We’ll run, climb, jump, wade, crawl and swim through a course designed to challenge us on every level.
A new outdoor net facility is now essential for both the club's senior and junior section, as the current facilities are no longer fit for purpose. The club runs 4 men's teams on a Saturday and 2 on a Sunday, whilst we have junior sides running from U9s to U17s.
