Hi. In January 2018 I will be joining a group of students from MMU travelling to Gambia to participate in the Gambia Development School. The visit is being hosted by Global Hands; a charity committed to tackling issues regarding local and global inequality. The development school provides the opportunity for individuals to experience life in Gambia first hand and encourages them to challenge their views and to work towards helping to address the issue of global inequality.

During the trip I will have the opportunity to visit a number of community based projects and engage with local people to enhance my understanding of the difficulties and challenges they face in their day-to-day lives. I will also be taking part in a 5K run (Run4Africa) which will raise money to support underprivileged children.

To enable me to join the Gambia Development School I need to raise a minimum of £550. I have managed to raise some of this money through a bake sale and sponsored run however your donations would be gratefully appreciated.
