Story
I work for Sandwich Technology College. A few of our students have cerebral palsy and are in wheel chairs. Swimming is fantastic exercise - a chance to get out of their wheelchairs and use their muscles. Transfering from their wheelchairs to the pool requires the use of a portable hoist as they cannot be lifted.
I would like to raise money for a portable hoist for Tides Leisure Centre to be used by not only pupils from Sandwich Tech but for all disabled people in the area. To do this I plan to run the Lydd 1/2 marathon in March. The mostI have run so far is 10K I need to run double that to complete it.

7 years agoFirst 10 mile run 3 weeks to go cannot believe I have run that far all the training no since November is paying off. Thank you to everyone that has donated to me it is much appreciated. Only 3 weeks to go now. As long as my hips don't give out feeling confident fingers crossed.
