Le Local is an community centre providing education, information and connectivity to migrants and refugees in Calais. Several hundred men and women are preparing to sleep rough through the Calais winter, and Le Local is one of the only indoor spaces in the city that is safe and open to them. We are a unique hub for refugees to access vital services, including free legal information, language classes, and referrals for housing and medical care.

The running of the space, services, workshops, and classes at Le Local is undertaken by different NGO's and individuals working together. With no regular sources of funding, we are in desperate need of support to stay open through the winter, and this crowdfunder will allow us to safely keep our doors open through the end of February.

Every £2 you contribute to Le Local this holiday season will cover the costs of one visitor's access to our space and all our services for an entire day.
