Story
First of all I would like to say a massive thank you for supporting me so much. It does help me get through some tough moments and I do appreciate it.
Then, I would like to say another big big thank you for the people who set up this fundraising link, thinking further instead of me about financial problems which can occur in my situation.
I would like to tell my story in a nutshell just to make it clear. Back in December, I was feeling unwell for few days, quickly recovered, it turned out to be just a cold. Few days later, I started feeling some strange symptoms, this was around mid December. Things were just getting worse, so I decided to make a visit to the nearest hospital. They told me it might be a virus, there’s no need to worry too much, just go home and rest. I was sent home with some painkillers and antibiotics. And that’s what I did. I was in bed for 6 days, with the symptoms just getting worse, in the final stage I was struggling to breath so much after every small effort, so I decided to go back to the hospital. Barely made it walking to the reception, few minutes later I was in the intensive care ward with very low levels of oxygen. I had ultrasound scan and the doctors were really surprised about the outcome. They told me, that they rarely seen anything like that before.
I was treated with strong antibiotics, they didn’t know what it was, they said it’s pneumonia, but things were just getting worse, after a chest biopsy they told me the bad news... It’s Ewing Sarcoma, in my lungs, high grade, many cancer tumors all over. Shocking. They said I might have just few days/weeks. On top of that they told me they have no knowledge of any treatment they could use to heal my cancer forever. But since then I had two chemotheraphies which got me feeling better and I am still ambitious and full of hope that one day I will be the person I was, healthy and full of energy.
The doctors say there is no cure, but I believe something exists. Usually things which are not common in use they do cost something, so by helping me with any amount of support, just gives me that little bit more chance to reach my goal. My main goal right now is to live...
Thank you. Levente.
