Story

Hi, everyone, thank you for taking the time to visit the page and read our story!

Lewis and Nik coach junior teams at their local football club - Colne FC. Grassroots football is the cornerstone of so many communities up and down the country, and Colne is no exception. Each season, scores of volunteers put their time, effort, (and money!) into running the club and ensuring they provide an opportunity for kids to play football, have fun and develop, and make friends along the way.

To ensure this continues each season everyone works hard to fund raise and bring as much money and awareness to the club as possible. Please visit and follow our Colne FC Juniors Facebook page (if you like!) to see what we are up to this year, and throw your support behind us! Colne FC Juniors

Ahead of next season Lewis and Nik have decided to do something a bit different, and not only fund raise for their teams but fund raise for, and shine a light on, a charity that is very close to our hearts - the Lancashire branch of Mind. Lancashire Mind is our local mental health charity and aims to offer support and services to 1.5 million people in the area. You can visit their page here: Lancashire Mind

At any one time, 1 in 4 people are experiencing poor mental health. We have both worked with (or engaged) the charity in the past, and Nik is a mental health professional, so we know how crucial these services are and the continued support they need.

Lewis and Nik's teams will be proudly wearing Lancashire Mind on their shirts and training gear next season, and helping to raise awareness within the football community, but we now need the support of our friends, colleagues, family and the amazing communities this will resonate with to help us raise money!

So, what are we doing to fund raise?!

On the 25th May, 2024, Lewis and Nik will be taking part in a sponsored Skydive (yes, you read that right, and yes we have good life insurance policies!) to raise funds for this amazing charity and for our junior teams. All we ask is that you give what you can to support us so that we can smash our fundraising goal and support two great causes!

We need £450 to cover our skydives, £400 for kits, and a minimum £400 donation to Lancashire Mind. Anything we raise beyond our £1500 goal will be split 50/50 between our teams and Lancashire Mind. Our aim is to exceed this goal so we can get the kids some training gear and bump up the donation to Lancashire Mind!

Thank you so much in advance for donating, sharing, and spreading the word. Anything you can give or do to help would mean the world to us.

Lewis & Nik
