Story
On May 29th we will be taking part in a 24 hour row on a rowing machine in the Triangle in aid of Leya's Journey as part of the newly established Revolutions Indoor Rowing Hub
Leya is a little girl from Bude who was born with Bilateral Vocal Chord. Unfortunately, the problem now is stenosis and tracheomalacia which has lead to laryngotracheal reconstruction surgery(the widening of the windpipe to make breathing and speaking easier) at Bristol Hospital in the wonderful care of the Doctors and Nurses.
She is such a strong and inspirational little girl that has experienced the unimaginable. She is a credit to her family, who are continually supporting this wonderful little girl.
Our aim is to raise money towards the trips to and from Bristol, which as you can imagine is very expensive living down here. We also aim to raise money for a nebuliser which can be used at home.
Any sponsorship would mean the world to all of us as this is one very special little girl. We will be in the Triangle from 9-5:30 on the 29th, with the night part of the row being completed in a safe location through out the night. There will also be 2 rowing machines set up for 500M races to see who's really got what it takes to be the next Sir Steve Redgrave, as well as a raffle with a range of prizes.
Thank you for your support and hopefully we will see you all on the 29th.
