As many of you will be aware the problems with the nearby landfill polluting our community has been affecting a huge part of the community for 6 months and for those residents on Spring Meadow for over 15 years. Since January enquiries have been made about trying to have an independent company that is experienced in landfill gases/sites assist our cause.

On the 11/4/2018 a local business has funded an initial consultation and I will be submitting a number of more specialised questions to Quercia, EA, PHE, CBC and LCC representatives that are part of the liaison group that meet fortnightly at present. We hope to have the responses by the next liaison meeting on the 24th April.

The outcome of this will likely result in needing to raise funding for more consultation work to be completed. An estimated cost of £1600 plus VAT has been given and I know it may be a tall order to raise this and the whole amount may not be required. The breakdown is £400 a day plus VAT so I am setting up this fund raising page with a view to raising funds for one days fees at a time. I don’t want to set it up to raise all the funds and it’s not needed then have to start looking at refunding. We have over 2800 members in our facebook group Leyland & Chorley Stink Bomb so hopefully everyone is in a position to donate £1 towards our community cause.
