As a Scouts pack we are trying to raise money to buy bed nets for vulnerable families in Africa. Although some parts of Africa can afford to protect themselves from malaria, others can't which is why we want to try and fundraise for enough buy bed nets for at least 20 families. In hot and wet areas of Africa malaria reaches its highest peak and, as it is hot, many people with malaria are too weak to walk the distance to the medical unit, therefore can die of the illness . - Libi

We care about stopping malaria because people in Africa deserve the same health care as us. We were inspired to do this when a man came to our scout hut to talk to us about malaria, it is not fair that whilst we are sleeping happily in comfy beds people are dying of malaria in Africa .This is why we are putting a stop to this. - Imogen
