Dear reader. I am trying to raise funds to purchase a young girl an adapted trike. Her name is Lillyana and she is three years old. Lilly was born with an undiagnosed genetic syndrome, which has affected her growth and development. She is frequently in and out of hospital, for various conditions relating to her syndrome. She has global development delay with social and communication issues. Kidney reflux. Ketotic hypoglycemia. Lilly is still waiting for a confirmed diagnosis of ASD and dyspraxia. However she is the happiest little girl i know. She has such determination and love for life. She never fails to bring a smile to everyone that knows her. I would love to buy Lilly an adapted trike. To give her some independence that she lacks. She is unable to walk without the security of a hand as she falls constantly. Nor can she walk for any length of time. Which means she still uses her buggy. A trike would give her a chance to ride independently. Giving her a sense of freedom and achievement. We have had an assessment from Tomcat who have quoted is £1572 for an adapted trike to fit her needs. I am not normally one to ask for help. And i appreciate you taking the time to read this.
