Story
Its got to that time in my life to raise some charitable money, so I and some friends from the Leeds ENTdepartment are going to walk the Yorkshire three peaks challenge this weekend. Thats about 25 miles with the three highest peaks in Yorkshire to be completed in under twelve hours.( Pen-y-Ghent 694m, then Wherside 736m and finally Ingleborough 723m)
Together we need to raise over £15,000 to buy 2 new fibre optic telescopes to examine the airways in babies with severe breathing problems. Although you might imagine essential equipment is provide by the hospital/NHS , that is not the case. So here we are asking for your help to raise money.

7 years agoAll the money is in and we have raised half the target amount enough to purchase one new fibre optic scope. So thank you very much to all who supported this walk. It was quite difficult at times and as a group we all finished within our target time and just as importantly enjoyed the experience. Thank you all very much. Perhaps we will try something similar next year!

7 years agoThank you to all who sponsored my walk to raise funds for a paediatric endoscope. As an ENT group we all completed the 3 highest Yorkshire peaks in a 25 mile round trip in under 11.5 hours. We did stop for refreshments a few times and endured wind, rain, hail and some limited sunshine. No injuries in our group but it was quite hard in places, but only minor aches the following morning BW Lindsey

Enjoy your blisters. It took me three goes to get the three peaks in a day, we kept on running out of time. it's a long way -all on limestone pavement or uneven path and a LOT of climbing. R
