    Story

Slater Gordon Solutions Liverpool Social committee are organising a fun day for staff to raise much needed funds for Arrowe Park Neonatal Unit. they have a new charity called Incubabies which are desperately in need of funds.

The unit, based at Arrowe Park hospital, provides specialist care for babies from around 24 weeks of pregnancy. Many of the babies are born prematurely or with health problems that require 24 hour medical care. They also provide invaluable support to parents, carers and family members who may have experienced tragedy through the loss or illness of a baby.

Neonatal units are all over the country and many people will have had their own personal experience. One of our colleagues has recently had to live in Arrowe Park for nearly two months due to the premature birth of their beautiful twin boys. There were a number of complications, however, throughout this extremely difficult time, the staff at Arrowe Park neonatal unit provided expert medical care, support and services which were vital to the whole family.

The work they do is second to none, but the funding they receive is minimal and the unit undertakes most of the fundraising themselves in order to invest in new technology and equipment for use in the intensive care of preterm and sick newborn babies.

We would love everyone to give as generously as possible to this amazing unit. Together, we can really help them continue the work they do to help make a difference, save lives and care for seriously ill babies.
