40 Mile Sponsored Ride For Playground Equipment.

I'm doing a 40 mile sponsored ride at the end of June to raise money towards playground equipment for our school.

Play Leaders are a valuable part of our lunch time. They take out lots of great games and sports equipment for the other children to play with. They learn many new skills while providing fun for the rest of the children.

Unfortunately, the equipment we have is starting to break and wear out and we are unable to replace them this year. Over the years we have got our play equipment through the fantastic voucher scheme that was run by Sainsbury's. Sadly that scheme has come to an end.

If you can give, even just a little to help in this cause, it would be a big help and much appreciated.

I love to cycle and decided a sponsored ride would be a good way to help raise the funds. I regularly ride 20-25 miles but have not done a 40 mile ride for over a year so it is rather a challenge! I will be riding from Ashton along the Leeds/Liverpool Canal to Scarisbrick then back home.
