Story
Mum and I are raising money for the charity BEAT by participating in Swimathon 2018. We are swimming 5km between the two of us on the 27th April at the Weald Sports Centre, Cranbrook.
BEAT is the UK's eating disorder charity. Eating disorders are widely misunderstood and stigmatised illnesses. BEAT campaigns for positive change for people who are suffering so that they can get the help they need and deserve as quickly as possible. From our own experience of living with a sufferer, we know that the faster they get treatment, the greater their chance of full recovery.
Here’s what your donation could do:
£3 – Could help fund resources to support someone visiting their GP about their eating disorder for the first time – an important step towards recovery.
£15 – Could help Helpline Advisors take calls and give guidance and support to someone who urgently needs it.
£50 – Could help to run an online support session, giving sufferers essential peer support from people who understand what they are going through.
£100 – Could fund a batch of posters that raise awareness of the early signs of an eating disorder, helping people to spot those in need more quickly.
Please get involved and help us to "BEAT" eating disorders by donating now!
