So, we've had it tough the last couple of years. Never ending restrictions, masks, and for me personally a gruelling hair care regime. Since the beginning of the first lockdown, I decided to grow my hair. After 2 years of hard work (not to mention many bottles of shampoo and conditioner) my hair now comfortably sits at shoulder length. To say I've grown fond of it would be an understatement, I absolutely love it!

And yet to lose it would not be the end of the world....

But what of those that have lost their whole world? That have lost the things they cherished most, including loved ones, possessions and of course, the lands that they once called home.

So, I have chosen to sacrifice something that I love, to help some of those who had no choice in the sacrifices they were forced to make. I am hoping the sacrifice of my 2 years labour of love (MY HAIR!!) will go at least a little way to aid those who have had to make the most unimaginable of sacrifices to survive.

The Syrian refugees: With millions of Syrians suffering from the civilian war on a regular basis; some of whom have family dependant on them, with nowhere to live, no homes, no clothes and most importantly no food. Bread has been the most demanded to survive on. £300 enables us to buy flour enough to feed 6000 people.

The Rohingyas: Violently expelled from their own homes in what has been described as genocide and ethnic cleansing. Over 600,000 are now forced to live in large dense crowds in remote areas of Rakhine state. Those who couldn’t manage are refugees in Cox Bazaar, Bangladesh – The world’s largest refugee camp with over 900,00 Rohingya living there. Help us build a village for them of 300 shelters!

This is through the fantastic work Taskforce GLM are doing on the ground in various places across the world. The money raised will be going to this fantastic charity who will be distributing the money directly to those in need in the form of aid.
