Loughborough Ladies Circle have chosen the Jake McCarthy foundation as their charity this year.

On December the 3rd, a group of us are running in the Loughborough Santa Fun Run and would love your support.

This local Foundation was created after Jake lost his life in 2012 from an undiagnosed brain tumour aged just 24.

The Foundation aims to raise awareness of the symptoms and early warning signs of brain tumours to help improve early diagnosis and so save lives and prevent other families from experiancing such a tragic loss.

Through fundraising events The Foundation aims to raise money for further research into the treatment of brain tumours as well as improve earlier diagnosis by alerting medical professionals, parents and carers , through clearer guidelines, to identify the signs of those with persistent symptoms to seek urgent further treatment. Catching this condition in its infancy can dramatically increase a patients chance of survival.
