At Dedridge Primary School we are taking on the 2.6 challenge in aid of Jak’s Den and encouraging all to do something related to 2.6. Run, Cycle, walk 2.6 miles or KM. Make a lego building using 26 pieces, do 26 jumps on the trampoline, dance to music for 26 minutes etc! Lets see how creative we can be!!!

Jak’s Den offer an abundance of experiences, support and guidance to children and young people between 0-25 years of age who have cancer or related illnesses. The 4 hubs in Scotland have volunteers, councillors, teachers supporting these children, families and friends.

During these unprecented times Jak‘s Dens have had to close and because a lot of sporting events have been cancelled all over the country I thought it would be good to support Jak’s Den. They are continuing to offer support to people and families through various online activities, Lego challenge, Jakstars and family challenges, under 5s music story time and art fun, teen lunch recipes online and parent patter on zoom are to name a few!
