    Story

We (Ang, Gill, Jess & Whits) are partaking in this years 100km (60 mile) South Coast Challenge. What can only be described as one hell of a long walk, will see us anxiously start our walk early on Sat 26th Aug at Eastbourne, proceeding along South Downes and via Brighton and eventually finishing at Arundel within 24+ hours later.

Why are we doing the walk? Well, firstly because we kind of crazy and we like a challenge and secondly we hope to raise some awareness and funding for 2 very different, unfamiliar charities that really do need all the support they can get.

Here's a bit about each one of these awesome organisations and how they have managed to make a difference:

    A BETTER LIFE DOG RESCUE

We are A Better Life Dog Rescue Ltd located in the UK. We travel to Romania taking food and medical supplies with us to help the many stray dogs survive the harsh conditions. In Romania we rescue dogs that would otherwise suffer horrific deaths and bring them to the UK to find them forever loving homes.

Here's Gill's experience: "Our dog Thula was found by the team at better life dog rescue as a puppy in Romania. She was stuck in a whole in a wall as she had been born there and grown too big to get out -her mother bringing her food to keep her alive. She was broken out of the wall and taken to a shelter. ABLDR helps find homes for dogs from Romania where there is a huge over population of stray dogs with no funding for no-kill shelters. (After being rescued)She is such a lovely girl who has settled in amazingly well in her new home -it is awful to think without organisations like this she would have likely lived a life on the street or been caught and put down". NEUROBLASTOMA

Neurblastoma is a childhood cancer, as with any disease it is a terrible thing to watch a child and the families suffer. Neuroblastoma UK work to help save the lives of children affected by this cruel disease and to help find new treatments specifically for children. I have seen the affect that dealing with something like this can have on a family and it is heart breaking for everyone involved. If you can spare anything to support this cause it would make a huge difference. There is a bit of information from the charity below, thank you for taking the time to read this through.Make a difference...

Neuroblastoma is an aggressive childhood cancer. At Neuroblastoma UK we save children’s lives, with your help.We do this by funding crucial research which is carried out by scientific experts in cancer centres and universities all around the UK and it produces results – new treatments that save children’s lives and are kinder on their young bodies than chemotherapy and other existing therapies. Our work relies entirely on the generosity of voluntary donors –individuals, companies and trusts –to continually fund new research projects to produce new and better treatments in order to save more children’s lives. We are staffed only by Trustees and volunteers, with no paid staff or offices, meaning that 95%of everything you donate goes directly into funding the best UK-led research. Your support means we can fund more research and bring closer the day when neuroblastoma will be beaten. You can make a huge difference to the chances of survival for children with neuroblastoma by fundraising, volunteering or donating.Thank you.

The money raised will be split between these 2 awesome charities.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TAKING THE TIME AND IF YOU ARE ABLE TO HELP / CONTRIBUTE TOWARDS ANY FUNDING (NO MATTER HOW SMALL) WE WOULD LOVE YOU FOREVER. :)

    Thank you kindly,

    Ang, Gill, Jess & Whits
