On January 22nd, I will be going to Peru for 3 months to volunteer in an orphanage. I hope to bring cheer to children's life's who have no family or who have been abused etc. From just being company for them to helping them with their homework, teaching them English, playing games and bringing fun to the orphanages, I hope to make a big difference in their lives. This is something I have always wanted to do as helping people is just in my nature. This trip is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I know I will learn so much from it! This project is however quite expensive. I have already paid for my own flights and accommodation which already comes to a total of around £2000. ( a large percentage of the money that I have paid for my accommodation, goes to the orphanage.) Therefore I would like to ask for your help. If you could donate anything, even as little as £1, to help me buy lots of resources to take over to the children, I would be so grateful. I plan to buy lots of things like - paint, colouring books, sketch pads, pens, pencils, lego sets, play doh, knitting sets, construction kits, outdoor toys and if there is anything else you can think of then please let me know. These children really have nothing and would be appreciative of anything. I would also like to use the money raised to buy the children warm clothes, hats, scarfs, gloves, toothbrushes and toiletries and perhaps distribute these to some women and men in the homeless shelters too. I know this is a big ask but even if everyone donates £1, we could raise a lot of money which could do so much for these poor children in Peru. If you can't donate then that's completely fine, but please could you just share my 'just giving' page with your friends and family. I cannot wait to embark on this journey and experience of a lifetime and I look forward to bringing joy to the children's lives.
