After first being diagnosed with breast cancer in February 2015 aged 37, Rebekah Cole mum to a 7 yr old son and 8 month old daughter suffered months of chemotherapy a mastectomy and radiotherapy. Being the selfless person she is she even found the strength helping others maintain some control by becoming an ambassador for Paxman Cooling Caps which she used herself throughout her treatment to retain her hair, something she knew was important to patients through her experiences of owning 'Woodview' beauty salon in her local community.
Supported throughout her treatment by friends, family and her husband Rob the future was looking positive when Becky was struck by what was thought to be a chest infection. Unsuccessful treatment with antibiotics and further investigation led to the discovery that the cancer had returned with a vengeance - less than 2 yrs after her first diagnosis! This time it was so severe and aggressive that within a month it had consumed half her lungs leaving her struggling to breath. This left little hope apart from chemo to prolong her life for a short time but nothing more can be done...doctors have given up on her completely!
Being faced with literally a death sentence Becky couldn't bare the thought of her children now 9 yrs and 2 yrs growing up without a mother and how would her husband cope?
