I want to introduce you to my little brother, Terry.

Terry is the light of our lives - despite being born with autism, brain damage, and severe epilepsy, he has risen to his challenges and makes my Mum and I so very happy. He's literally the happiest person I know: always smiling, never complaining, and always willing to help anyone in need. Despite a very bleak medical diagnosis, he has surmounted all the obstacles set for him in life - learning to read, study mathematics, swim, even to code! Despite being speech and hearing impaired he makes himself understood and has a good word for everyone. He's always laughing and making others laugh along with him. Everyone who meets him loves him, and with good reason.

Unfortunately however, incremental and constant disability cuts in recent years have severely impacted Terry's quality of life. This isn't a sob story - just a stark reality. Terry suffers from psoriasis but can't afford a shower, which would lessen his discomfort, and our local council refuse to replace his bath, which is unsafe for him due to his epilepsy. After essential deductions, he doesn't even have enough money to buy new clothes, shoes, or get his hair cut. His bed is broken in the middle, but again, the council refuse to replace it, claiming it is an unnecessary expense. Most harrowing of all - due to PIP changes we will almost certainly lose our car on the next review, which would be catastrophic for Terry as it means we have no means of transport to take him to the activities and groups he loves so much.

Any money raised will be used to replace these essentials in order to improve Terry's quality of life : he's always happy as it is, but it breaks our heart to see him having to suffer unnecessarily, and not understanding the reason why. He has so very much to give, and any donations will help him to do that.
