This is her story.

For some of you who don’t know me I am Michele Richards and I reside within the Procurement Organisation at New Malden. The reason for this note is to ask you all to support me in accomplishing a bet that was set three years ago by Mark Pereira who works with me. The bet was to learn to sing (I am tone deaf).

This event will take place at the T26SI Christmas gathering to be held on the 13th December 2017 as long as the money stipulated is raised. The aim is to raise a baseline amount of £500 ambitious I know but am hoping that you will find some way of supporting me. I am at this point in time wondering why I agreed to do this activity as singing is not my thing. Ear plugs will be supplied for people with sensitive ears.

The charities I am singing for are MS UK and The Motor Neurones Society. In the last two years I have lost two of my friends to each of these diseases. Both diseases in their own way are debilitating and savage for the suffer. Both of these people dealt with their illness with immense bravery and they can never be replaced for me.

These charities do not get a lot of air space so consider this you could be helping someone enjoy their Christmas this year.
