    Story

I’m completing 1000 full burpees in just 48 hours to raise £1000 for Willows Cat Adoption Centre to help towards vital flea and worming treatments, neutering costs/nutritional meals to help neglected and unwanted cats get back on their paws. My cats Mimi and Suzie are rescue cats and this is something very close to my heart

Willows Cat Adoption Centre has cared for thousands and thousands of homeless, neglected and unwanted cats over the past 45 years. Willows relies on adoption fees and kind donations to keep the shelter running and its’ helpers all volunteer their precious time to make a life changing difference to over 400 cats EVERY year.

    £1000 could:

Treat 100 cats for fleas & worms; parasites cause a great deal of distress if not treated

Provide high quality meals and treats for 10 cats for 3 months to give them the best start

Neuter or spay 30 cats; one un-neutered Queen can lead to 20,000 cats in just five years

ALL cats MUST be neutered or spayed at five months old before they go up for adoption. This is the integrity of this wonderful organisation.

And what exactly am I personally going to do for it?

Well, I'm a very active person and have always been up for a challenge. So I've decided to take on one of the most physically demanding challenges I've ever taken part in; 1000 full burpees in a 48 hour period. (If you're not familiar with that particular exercise, you can google it but it’s like a press up and star jump combination) It will be ALL on Facebook LIVE, starting at 7am Thursday 14th December, you can watch it via THIS link: https://www.facebook.com/luke.j.harrison.31

This personal 'fitness' challenge is going to be incredibly demanding but it’s for a greater cause. For the love of animals and I'm really hoping to generate £1 for each burpee completed :-)
