Lydia and Rick Step Up For Danny !

Amongst the runners in Stockport`s Hatters Half Marathon on 5 September will be 2 brave Stopfordians, Lydia Eames and Rick Ebbage who have stepped up for the challenge of the North West`s top road/trail half marathon.

Their motivation is to raise money in support of the campaign to erect a statue to late Stockport County Manager Danny Bergara outside Edgeley Park.

The duo have initially targeted raising £500, and running as `Danny Heroes` both Lydia and Rick would be most grateful of your support.

With 5 days to go til the big day, Rick & Lydia have completed the ‘long run’ section of their training and are now tapering ready for race day! Please support Danny’s Heroes by sponsoring them !

Now something about Lydia. Lydia tells us.... "Stockport County has always been a top priority in our house. My brother is a huge fan and recently asked me to queue for one of the old seats from the Cheadle End for his 30th Birthday. I have always loved running and have finished races from 5k fun runs to marathons. I have really enjoyed building my mileage again since having children in training for the Hatters half marathon."
