Story
My son James joined a brand new Atherstone Rangers (Blues) team, which was created July 2016. Liam Morris and Paul Turner are using their own time to coach the lads and organise games.
I am trying to raise some funds to go towards Kit and equipment.
One of the players parents, Lisa and Marc very kindly gave the team some sponsor money, so the kids could have a training kit. (As you can see in the picture)
But the lads are currently wearing this for matches, and we'd love to have a kit ready, early into the season, that starts 10th September 2016.
I also help with the team, doing a little admin when needed.
I really care about the team, as it has created friendships, and getting the boys to work in a team and together. Liam and Paul are doing a fantastic job to coach the children and building their confidence. Also I got diagnosed with relapse and remittance Multiple Sclerosis 5 years ago when I was 32. Meaning I have a attacks of disability & pain which can range from a number of things, like losing my sight for example, to periods of remission where I can be ok for months. But the damage done on ne can never be fixed and it is an incurable degenerative illness, I now inject myself weekly with a disease modifying drug, which has its own side effects but should hopefully slow progression & shorten the length of relapses. It came out of no where, I had pins and needles from head to toe, I thought I had a trapped nerve so I went to A&E in Nuneaton, and my future changed within a week after MRI scans and lumber punctures and other tests. I couldn't write or hold things and my walking went and speech goes slurred and I can have the shakes. I was also on maternity leave with our 2nd child at the time. I have always been fit and I swam competition for Tamworth Staffordshire as a child & a teenager. So swimming is a massive love of mine. But now with an uncertain future with MS, I like to donate to the Coventry society when I can.. Thank you for reading... Lynsey
