Toffee was rescued with her 3 sisters (Taffy, Tammy, and Tara) from the side of the road on a freezing cold day. A passer-by witnessed a car pull up to the side of the road, then proceed to pour 4 puppies out of a box. They were barely 5 weeks old.

Toffee was taken in by our rescue and looked after while she was treated and brought back to health. Toffee was lucky enough to find a new home in the UK and travelled for 3 days to get to the UK. Toffee was very scared after her transport and sadly it didn't work out for her in her new home and her adopters reluctantly decided they could not keep her. She was moved to kennels and stayed there for two lonely months. Toffee is very scared of the world and was not happy in her current kennels so we searched far and wide to find a new place for her where they can offer her the chance to decompress properly. It has not been an easy task to find somewhere that can help Toffee but after lots of searching we have found her a new temporary home in a lovely retreat in Kent where she can start to live again and build relationships with caring people and hopefully prepare for a new forever home with a family which is what she deserves.

But the DEFRA transport from Scotland to Kent is expensive and this kind of retreat is costly so we need your help to raise funds to keep Toffee there so she can begin to enjoy life again.

Strays Without Borders is an animal rescue, founded by Snezana and Milka, based in Skopje, North Macedonia. With the help of a small team of UK volunteers, Strays Without Borders change desperate animals’ lives forever.

Our animals are mainly rescued from the Macedonian streets. They are found malnourished, covered in parasites, and possibly suffering from severe injuries.

Once rescued, the animals are nursed to health, funded only by donations, and kennelled in Skopje until forever or foster homes can be found for them in the UK.

We are a not-for-profit organisation. All the money donated to the rescue goes directly to helping care for current residents and helping them find their forever homes in the UK
