We need to raise the funds to get a SCHOOL CROSSING ATTENDANT to help our children cross a busy road safely as they come to and from school. The council will not fund this due to cuts in the budget and we need our children to be safe. The road is on a busy bus route and has two blind bends down a hill. I have crossed the road with children when it has been completely clear of traffic and when we were halfway over the road we have had to run because of fast traffic zooming down the hill :-(, it is extremely dangerous. By getting a school crossing attendant we hope this will help our children and parents to be able to cross the road safely. (Mackie Hill School, Painthorpe Lane, Crigglestone, Wakefield, West Yorkshire). The kids attend school 5 days a week for approximately 40 weeks a year. I am donating just £10. my kids will cross that road at least 400 times a year (if you include me getting back its 800 times a year!) That is 12.5p A WEEK/2.5p A DAY! - my kids & my life are worth MUCH MORE than this!! & i'm sure their Grandparents and members of the local community will agree & donate too :-), please "DIG DEEP" and support the safety of our children!.
