Weʼve raised £0 to Máire and the Urban Development Project working with disadvantaged communities in Addis Ababa

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
In October, I will be travelling to the Ethiopian capital of Addis Ababa to volunteer with the Urban Development Project, alongside the Daughters of Charity organisation. The project serves communities throughout the city, helping locals with few resources to access housing, develop skills for employment and business, credit to start businesses, and many other services including access to healthcare and social work.
In the three months I will spend there, I hope to support local communities in skills development and access to adequate resources, in any way possible, however small. In return, I'm hoping to meet some great people and experience a different culture, and have some fun along the way!
The Vincentian Lay Missionaries (VLM), who will organise my placement for me, have asked me to raise €3000, around £2500. This will cover my flights, accommodation, training, and provide a donation to support the project's costs.
NOTE - I set the date wrong for the last Just Giving page, so this is a new one. To anyone who donated to the last page, I received your donation and it is much appreciated!
Go raibh maith agaibh!
