Story
Our daughter Mali has recently undergone open heart surgery at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, and spent the majority of her time recovering in the specialist Cardiac Ward 32. Meanwhile, we have been staying at the local Ronald McDonald House, free of charge, while Mali has been receiving care at the hospital.
To say thank you, we would like to raise some money to buy equipment to help children who spend time on Ward 32 in the future. So far we have bought a trolley to help children carry their chest drain buckets, and a bouncer for younger patients.
Also, we are aiming to buy some items from the RMH's Wish List (which includes towels, duvet covers, cleaning products, toilet rolls, etc) to help them carry on providing this service to parents who, like us, are required to spend a long time away from home, who might have to travel long distances or pay for expensive city-centre hotel accommodation.
Anything you can spare is very much appreciated.
£319.62 (so far) has already been raised by the regulars at the Butchers Tegryn and I have received £90 in cash, totalling £409.62, plus what is raised on here.
Thank you.
