Our beautiful daughter Emma was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2014 aged 10. She also had severe hydrocephalus (Built up brain fluid causing high amounts of pressure on the brain). She had to have two brain surgeries and was in Saint George's hospital for six weeks.
Her surgeon couldn't remove a 100% of the tumour as it was attached to her brain stem and removing all of it would have had severe consequences. approximately 15% still remains.
Emma's recent MRI scan has revealed that it has started to grow again.
She has been referred to the Royal Marsden and they have said the best treatment for Emma, to save her life, is proton therapy. This type of therapy is currently only available in America.
We have been told the treatment takes between around 5 to 9 weeks to be affective.

As Emma's dad is a self employed electrician, and of course he will need to be by Emma's side during treatment in America, we will have no income what so ever. As we have had very little time to prepare for this situation we are relying n the generosity of friends, family and anyone willing to give to help us through this time.
