On the 21st of August I will be flying out to Mombasa in Kenya to spend a month educating young, homeless boys. These boys are taken off the streets, sometimes without shoes and with no possessions to their name. Often addicted to glue to soften hunger pains, these boys are given a second chance in life by the street kids project. Here the boys are taught basic English and maths as well as being fed and given a bed. From here they can, if possible, return home or move on to a more formal school where they can achieve qualifications and ultimately, employment. The boys often arrive having suffered serious abuse on the streets, so this project is vital to allow them to prosper and escape from their difficult pasts. Any kind donations will go directly to the boys I will spend time with, buying food, clothes and educational supplies. Any help, however small, is very much appreciated.
