I spent my first Christmas eve alone last year and Christmas day with some homeless people. Talking to many homeless men and women I truly saw the pain in there eyes, spending Christmas in the cold and spending most time on there own.
I thought to my self why is their no one helping why have these poor people not got a positive memory to remember at the time of year where positive memories are meant to be created.

I have to take a stand, I have planned in detail a Christmas surprise to the homeless people in my area, Bournemouth and around in 15 mile radius. I will rent a room and kitchen in two locations between the radius for the duration of Christmas eve and Christmas day. The men, women, children and also pets can come into their very own Christmas for both days, and have a Christmas dinner and pudding, warmth for both days and nights and also a gift, being a blanket, toiletries and a gift bag( a gift bag is a survival sleeping bag at a cost of £10.99) The estimated target is £3000 but we are also fundraising other ways, I feel with a Christmas like this it wont just get them of the street for a couple of days but motivate and energise them to keep pushing forward.

Homelessness within Bournemouth has trebled in 2 years from 2014-16 and in the south of England there is estimated to be 2900 homeless people registered, that does not even include the non registered.

Mark is a passionate, hardworking, dedicated young man. He is confident about speaking up to share his ideas. Furthermore, he is very friendly and approachable. Last Christmas he spent the day giving out food to homeless people in Bournemouth, it opened his eyes to how some people have nothing on Christmas day. He wants to, this year, give them something to make them smile on a bigger scale.

Its time to time to move forward, its time to help the people of our towns and cities. Its time to celebrate the most celebrated time of the year with 'everyone'!
