Today I am running the Great Manchester Run 10km for Ward 84 at RMCH and for Evelyn. They have been taking great care of my friends grandaughter Evelyn.

On the 12th April 2017 little Evelyn was diagnosed with stage 4 high risk Neuroblastoma, mycn amplified at just 9 months old. Neuroblastoma is an aggressive childhood cancer and the treatment is extremely harsh, she had a large tumour attached to her right adrenal gland above her kidney and the neuroblastoma had spread to her bones, which had resulted in the growth next to her eye. Her treatment started very quickly and after only 1 and a half weeks she was already starting her chemotherapy course. She has been through a lot this past year, 5 months of chemo, major surgery to remove the main tumour, a stem cell transplant, 14 rounds of radiotherapy and now 6 months of immunotherapy.
