Attached to my page is a photo of wee Lucy Craig, the inspiration behind this request for your help. Lucy's parents (Julie & David) had been trying for a baby for some time, a journey that had been filled with heartbreak. However, 3rd May 2017 was one of the best days of their lives when little Lucy came into the world. Unfortunately, within the first few days Lucy developed complications & required major heart surgery at only 10 days old. This was obviously a very difficult time for Julie & David but throughout this challenging period the doctors, nurses & all the staff within the unit not only provided world class professional care for Lucy, they provided a fantastic support network for her parents. 102 days on, Lucy is a happy, health little girl, completely unaware of the massive debt of thanks that Julie, David & all their friends & family have for these outstanding professionals. In September myself & my good friend Scott Jardine will be walking 85 miles along the West Highland Way as part of our 'nearly 50' bucket list but we thought that we would tie this into raising funds for this fantastic unit. Let me say that if I do nothing more than raise awareness of the fantastic work that the doctors & nurses at the Queen Elizabeth Neonatal Unit in Glasgow do then I will be satisfied but if you could spare a pound or two we would appreciate if you could log onto our page & contribute.
