    Story

Macula Degeneration is the leading cause of sight loss in the UK, effecting 1 in every 10 people over 65.

Ambleside Opticians are fundraising to help provide new equipment and treatment rooms at the Westmorland General Hospital Macula Unit so that more local people have access to sight-saving eye care close to home.

We want everyone to join us, and be a part in making this worthy cause a great success story! Please donate and give somebody the gift of sight!

Please feel free to "share" your donation on Facebook to raise more awareness for the cause, if you do please use the hashtag #goyellow and tag our page @maculaunitappeal

Are you taking a "greener" approach to christmas this year? One way you can do this is by choosing to donate the money you would normally spend on christmas cards, to a local charity instead! We would love for you to choose the Macula Unit Appeal as your local cause to give back to this Christmas!
