Story
People very close to us are unfortunately living with serious illnesses. They receive support from two fantastic, little-known, charities - Make 2nds Count (charity no. SC048268) and PSC Support (charity no. 1175427).
In an effort to raise money which will help both charities in their vital research and ongoing work, I'm planning the crazy challenge of running around Charlton Village Playing Fields for a solid 12 hours! Yep, you read that right - 12 hours!
From 5am to 5pm on Friday 2nd April (Good Friday), I'll be undertaking this tough challenge. It's going to be hard going, but not as hard as living with a serious illness - I'm doing this to raise money for these two amazing charities which are very close to our hearts. 3 years agoTraining has been going really well. I ran 72 miles last week (previous highest was 42 miles), and the advice of the coach who's helping me has been a massive eye opener on how to approach such a challenge. Feeling good and lots more hours on the road over the next 3 weeks should see my ready to complete the 12 hours and run a respectable distance too!

3 years ago24.5 miles completed this weekend as I start ramping up the mileage. Legs feel OK so just have to keep plodding on to build my endurance up. 54 days and counting until the big day!
