Me & my good buddy Baron had a nice 9 mile walk around Craster, Howick and Longhaughton this morning. We had a mixture of conditions, typical to the north east of england, sun, rain, wind. Yesterday we completed probably our toughest training walk to date, to the Cheviot summit. We made our usual start by making a couple of wrong turnings and taking an unneeded off road route to the car park. We made our way along side Langleeford and Toby (the dog) decided he wanted to chance his luck at walking across a cattle grid - which didn't end well, but he managed to walk it off. Today we walked and conquered thrunton woods. Its been a lush morning for it, as fresh as it comes. Its been a good stretch of the legs with some nice steeps climbs.
