Not one to do things by halves, Martin, who is a stalwart volunteer at Street Food, is taking to the streets of Burton on Trent from 4th to 11th October. He is going to spend the week living exactly as our homeless friends do - with no money and just a sleeping, bag, roll mat and mobile phone (to record his daily diary on). He is getting the bus to town and from that moment he will eat, sleep and pass his days as a homeless person. Not only will this help us raise much needed funds but it will also get us some amazing insight into the real challenges faced, not just the ones we imagine. If you would like to donate to support Martin's "Week on the Streets", 100% of your money will go towards food and resources for the homeless people of Burton on Trent. We have two main sessions on a Thursday and Saturday where we cover 4 mealtimes and provide approximately 120 freshly cooked nutritious and tasty meals a week.
