Every year at St Mary's we hold a Summer Fundraising Campaign; half of the money we raise goes to a local charity and half to St Mary's to help fund important projects to benefit the many users of our church and centre.

This year we are raising money for local charity, 'Mary's Child', which offers God’s light, love and hope to those in need. It supports families by providing meals, snacks and toiletries and items for babies. It gives pastoral support and legal advice and supports refugees. It is committed to working in partnerships with other organisations and charities to improve the lives of those who find themselves in difficulty.

St Mary's Church Peterborough (C of E) is a place of worship which has many different groups and activities for everyone to suit a variety of needs. It welcomes people in and also reaches out to help and serve those in our community.

Half the money raised will go to Mary's Child. The other half will go to St Mary's Church towards the refurbishment of the front steps, so that they are safer for all who use the church and centre.

Our campaign is in full flow and we look forward to an exciting summer of events. The campaign will culminate on Sunday 9th October when we will be presenting a cheque to Revd Carol Avery from Mary's Child. This is also our Harvest Festival and lunch and you are all warmly invited :-)
