This project is a travelling exhibition between the three twin towns: Leer in Germany, Elblag in Poland and Trowbridge in England. We want to turn this into an important cultural event of friendship, inspiration and international involvement. We are raising funds for Trowbridge to exhibit 24 pieces of art work from 12 different artists and to send the artwork onto the exhibitions at our twin towns. £4500 will fund:
sending art-work between the three towns
helping two artists from Trowbridge to take part in the opening of the exhibitions in Leer and Elblag,
increase the exhibition space at Trowbridge Town Hall with extra wall space and lighting,
fund an opening event in Trowbridge involving more local artists, the public and Town Council
paying technicians and musicians and photographer for the opening event
fund a brochure and publicity.
We would like to create a short film to be viewed at the end of this project. We feel that in our current political climate this exhibition and the involvement of the people of our twin towns is important and we feel that this is a wonderful and mutually enriching way of exchanging friendship via the creative medium of art.
