Eating is a necessity as is going out drinking socially for me so this is not going to be easy, however...

The Bus Shelter Kent Project has been headed up by Tony Cooper who has been working with the homeless in soup kitchens, outreach centres for some time.

Tony has been campaining tirelessly and managed to raise funds to secure a second hand bus which through the help of volunteers, trademan and donations is being converted into an overnight bus with kitchen facilities.

The bus is not finished yet and in desperate need of funding for materials to push this over the line and finally get the wheels turning.

The night shelter bus was purchased in december 2016 @ the cost of £1200, it was then transported from harlow to kent @ a cost of £150 covered by a just giving page.

Insurance for the bus is £225 a month or £1950 yearly for any driver fully comprehensive and can be driven on a car licence with c1 entitlement making it easy to find a volunteer when it needs to be moved.

Since july the bus has been having some remedial work done ready for its class 5 mot @ the cost of £350.

Any mechanical work thats needed has been donated by the MOT station where its parked, we also have a mechanic called john who has also said he would help.

At the begining of december we have been continuing the conversion, some of the materials for the conversion have been donated by 5 different stores, the names will be disclosed when the bus is unveiled.

Please help us to help others by continuing to support the build so the homeless night shelter can be completed.

When built it will be available 365 nights/days a year getting homeless people off the street allowing them to be given the help and support they desperately need.
