    Story

**UPDATE** We’ve hit our target through all your generous donations! We can now get the Eyegaze tracker device. But to get the full set of Tracker/Touchscreen/Mount and Software, we’ll need to raise £2409. Please keep sharing and sponsoring the team!

In 1985 Chris Greensmith (Matt & Giles's dad) rode from Land's End to John O'Groats on a bike he built himself. Inspired by Chris's original ride, brothers Matt and Giles Greensmith and good friends Jindy and John, will be squeezing into their lycra and taking on the same huge challenge to cycle from the most southerly point in England to the most northerly point in Scotland... Lands End to John O'Groats - 874 miles in 12 stages over two weeks. #LEJOG

*Grand départ from Lands End - 1 June 2018*

Our gruelling ride will raise money for James Herrera-Richmond. James has cerebral palsy and a range of special needs - he is non-verbal and needs intensive speech and language support to help him communicate. We're crowdfunding here for some amazing Eyegaze technology which will allow him control an iPad or computer using the movement of his eyes – which will help him express himself, play games and interact with the world. You can see this awesome kit here – https://bit.ly/2HwZZC9

If we can raise enough money to get this technology for James it will make a real difference to his development and his ability to interact with his family and friends.

Wish us luck and I hope you are able to donate and support our crowdfunding challenge!

    Who we are:

Matt Greensmith, 43 – Dad, veteran footballer, keen but inexperienced long distance cyclist. Matt is a childhood friend of James's dad, Horacio.

Jindy Mann, 40 – the most experienced cyclist in the team with a West Coast of America tour completed in 2013 and a few sportives and cycle rides on the continent.

John Cant, 37 - Dad, runner, previously completed bike tour of Japanese Temples and now reduced to veterans football. John is joining us for all of Scotland.

Thank you everyone who's donated so far - we've hit our target for the hardware! We are halfway through our ride and preparing for Scotland and we can't believe how far we've come. We've upped our target so that with any further funds we raise James can get some private specialised speech and language sessions with the new Eyegaze kit. There's be a whole new language to learn for him and his family. Thanks again for all your support! #LEJOG @London1Hull3
