Story
On 16th September I will be swimming across the River Humber Bridge to raise funds for the Humber Rescue, who will be supporting the swim.
Humber Rescue is a completely independent charity accountable for the supply of a rapid-result rescue boat on the rivers.
Humber Rescue is entirely dependant on donations from the public and the generosity of local businesses to maintain and improve their call outs and answering service.

6 years agoWell that was an interesting morning. Swam across the Humber to raise funds for the Humber Rescue. Got to have a ride on a speedboat, surf some waves and travel nearly 3x the actual distance from bank to bank to get across the river. Some strong tides and currents out there today. Thank you to everyone for your support and generous donations.

6 years agoJust over a week to go - getting excited now. I've successfully completed a couple of big swims now, including a very windy, rainy and choppy crossing of Rutland Water, and am confident about swimming the distance. Thank you for all your donations, Matthew
