Story
Matt was a fit young man, a keen cyclist and a fan of sport in general. Recently during a family holiday in Cornwall he unfortunately suffered a stroke which has turned his and his family’s life upside down. Matt continues to improve slowly, but his journey has only begun.
We are raising funds via various healthy ways to help promote wellbeing in the local community but obviously in first place to support Matt and his family on his route to recovery.
Funds that we are raising here will help his family recover costs of spending extra weeks in Cornwall recently but also will pave the way to his recovery through rehabilitation, specialist equipment and any other way we can speed up his return to health!

5 years agoThanks to each and every one of you, our goal of raising £5000 to help Matt and his family has been reached! Those that have followed Matt's Journey closely will know what an amazing progress he has made. Therefore it gives me immense pleasure to close this campaing down. If you've been to the Ball you will know general sense of where your money went/is going, but I will make sure a final update reaches you once we've tallied it all up (loads have been raised at the Ball thanks to Richard and Faye and we're still counting).
