Anyone with child will know how difficult and expensive it can be, keeping up with the lastest trend in toys, clothes and dealing with tantrums and mood swings thrown just because they don't want to eat their carrots! But when you have a child with additional or special-needs things ultimately become harder and more expensive. I've set up this page for a very special little lady and her family who I think the world of and am amazed everyday at the love and strength they have for each other. I have learnt through Sam that we don't know how strong we are until being strong is the only choice we have. Bella was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes nearly 4 years ago and with the help of her amazingly strong family and a few close friends has been able to cope really well with her life changing diagnosis. But when a Child is diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, an entire family is diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Recently things have began to change for Bella and her family as her diabetes has become some what unpredictable, which recently has resulted in Bella becoming hospitalised after a Hypoglycemic episode. As any parent can imagine, seeing your child in hospital, it's a horrible and terrifying event. Bella is not always aware of when a Hypo may occur, especially at night whilst she is sleeping and for this reason I am looking to raise funds for Bella's mum Sam to be able to purchase some possibly life saving equipment for her daughter. This will not only be able to help lower the risk of a Hypo but also give some much needed reassurance to Sam and her care givers on a day-to- day basis.
