DART is a charitable trust (www.dartindia.in) set up by committed parents of kids with DMD. They have set up a genetic laboratory in hope of a definitive treatment for DMD .
The lab is supported by Prof Steve Wilton, Director of the Western Australian Neuroscience Research Institute (pioneer of exon skipping)

My Nephew Ameya Karpoor is 10 years old with DMD. He is a very gifted child with brilliant painting skills. I have seen him grow in my arms as a baby to a mature child. He is now wheel chair bound for last 2 years.
I pray and hope to see him back on his feet like any other child of his age.

My brother Mahesh Karpur ( Ameya's Dad) is an active member of DART, India.The Trust supports families and children with DMD by providing help with diagnosis, physiotherapy, buying wheelchairs and most importantly carrying out research to find new treatment for DMD.They have made considerable progress in both research work and activities towards patient care .
