I am the shop manager of a Barnardos retail store and have a hardworking team of 32 volunteers. Everyone of them has dedicated their time and energy into raising vital funds for the most vulnerable children. I would like to show my gratitude by raising funds for them, to have the Christmas party they deserve for all their hard work. My team has a broad demographic of young and old, disabled and able bodies, as well as with mental health problems. We are a family rather than a team and for some, the only family they have. This is why I believe they deserve recognition for their devotion to good deeds. If enough money is raised I would like to extend the invitation to other Barnardos volunteers from other stores within the area as I believe every single one of them deserves a thank you for all their efforts in helping others. I have also decided to do a sponsored skydive to encourage donations and raise awareness for the hard work volunteers commit themselves to across the country.
