My name is Megan and I am a physiotherapist at Neurological Physiotherapy in Cheadle. I am running the Edinburgh Marathon on Sunday 28th May 2017 to raise funds to buy our clinic a defibrillator.
Neurological Physiotherapy is a busy clinic, in the heart of Cheadle village who have a lot of people visiting for treatment on a daily basis. I would love to be able to raise enough funds to buy a defibrillator for our clinic so that if a situation ever arises where we have the need to use one we have a greater chance of saving somebody's life. Early use of a defibrillator increases somebody's chance of surviving a cardiac arrest from 6% to 74%.
I have never ran a marathon before. I hope you will agree that this is for a good cause and thank you in advance for your generosity.
