Hi I'm Mel, I'm tryin to raise some money for Leeds general hospital after everything they've done for our little boy.
On 30th December Adam woke up covered in a rash, for weeks we was told by doctors, nurses and Paediatricians it was viral and was given steroids or anti-biotics
On 16th January Adam woke up and was even worse, he was still covered in a rash but was also yellow so we rushed him to Wigan hospital and they admitted him to the rainbow ward, he had bloods done which shown his blood clotting wasn't the way it should be so was given a shot of vitamin K and he was dehydrated so he was put on iv fluids and other medication and we was told if his blood clotting didn't improve we would be transferred to Leeds hospital, after an horrendous night we went to Leeds hospital and he was taken to the ward 10 and after the doctors assessing him he was taken to PICU as he was in liver failure, doctors said they was going to put him in an induced coma and on the liver transplant list as his liver function was all over the place, as soon as we got to PICU they got all the meds he needed in him and he improved a lot over a few hours/night so they held off with the coma etc but also said if we hadn't of got there within 3hrs he wouldn't of made it so he was very lucky, he was there for one night and then taken back to ward 10 where he was cared for him amazingly 😊 He got discharged Sunday afternoon but still needs to have bloods etc in the next few weeks.
I really can't get them a present big enough for saving our little boy's life so I thought with this they can get what ever they need for the ward
